I <3 HAITI

Posted on 13 March 2010 by Velocity

Haitian children of all ages should feel loved and cared for in a tangible way during their time of need. It is our goal to collect hundreds of designer T-Shirts to give to the children and youth in order to help them feel cared for, provided for, and loved. Specifically, each shirt will come with a personal handwritten note that lets them know that a Christian student from miles away loves them enough to dedicate time, money and effort in order to send them a gift. Even more important is that this gift comes from a student that loves Christ and acts out of this love.

We also want our students to develop a greater understanding of what it means to demonstrate the love of Christ in a tangible way for those in a time of need. Writing a letter will connect them in a personal way to those affected by the earthquake.

Posted on 12 March 2010 by Velocity

The Science of Love Sex and Dating part 5 Just look at any teenage magazine, TV program, movie or website, and you will see that sex, dating and love are a major issue in this generation. Unfortunately, this is where most teenagers are learning about these things. For many teenagers, learning about love, sex and dating is like trying to put together a puzzle without a picture to guide them. It ends up in frustration and disappointment. Fortunately, a clear picture of these important topics can be seen in the Word of God. This month at Velocity we will be giving lessons in a hot new series titled, “The Science of Love, Sex and Dating”. In school, not every subject will be interesting to everyone, but we can guarantee all eyes and ears will be front and center as we experiment from the Word of God on the physics and chemistry of Love, Sex and Dating.

Topics:

  • The Secret Formula for Sex
  • Chemistry of Love
  • Dating Experiment
  • And much, much more…

Warning: This series is suitable for students in the 6th – 12th grade. Some material and elements of this series may be very strong and new for younger students.
